Therapeutic support is tailored to each child and family, recognising that every child’s experiences, strengths and needs are unique.
Sessions are collaborative, practical and developmentally appropriate, helping children build understanding, confidence and skills to manage challenges in everyday life. Children often learn through play, conversation, creative activities and practical strategies suited to their age and stage of development.
Care is delivered in a compassionate, neuro-affirming and family-centred way, working closely with parents and, where helpful, schools, allied health and medical professionals. Where appropriate, parents and caregivers may be involved in sessions to support strategies being used at home.
The approaches below may be used depending on the child’s needs and goals.
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Parent-based and attachment-informed approaches
• Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
